Big second half rally leads Wildcats to 73-63 win over Bobcats

Weber State had a 27-4 run in the second half.
OGDEN - Weber State overcame a halftime deficit with a big second half rally to beat Montana State 73-63 Thursday night at the Dee Events Center.
The win moves Weber State to 13-12 overall and 8–4 in Big Sky play with six conference games remaining in the regular season.
The Wildcats trailed 39-34 at halftime and trailed by nine points early in the second half. That's when the 'Cats went on a 27-4 run over the next 12 minutes and dominated the Bobcats in the second half.
Montana State cut the lead to six with under two minutes to play but the Wildcats made four free throws down the stretch and hung on for the win.
MSU was 5 of 9 from 3-point range in the first half and just 2 of 9 in the second half.
For the game, Weber State shot 56 percent from the field and was 7 of 17 from 3-point range. The Wildcats outrebounded the Bobcats 26-24.
Dillon Jones had his 15th double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds, along with four assists and two steals.
Steven Verplancken added 17 points and was 7 of 9 from the field, including 3 of 5 from 3-point range. Zahir Porter scored a season-high 13 points and was 4 of 6 from the field.
The Wildcats are right back home Saturday night facing another longtime rival in Montana. Tipoff at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Dee Events Center.
