Isabel Gutierrez Earns Big Sky Golfer of the Week Award

FARMINGTON, Utah – Weber State's Isabel Gutierrez earned the Big Sky Conference Women's Golfer of the Week award on Wednesday as the league office released its weekly honors. The award comes after Gutierrez led the Wildcats to a fifth place finish at the Timpanogos Collegiate in Provo, Utah earlier this week.
Isabel shot a 5-under par total of 211 to tie for ninth place overall in the team's fall season opener at Timpanogos Golf Club. She opened the week with five birdies in each of the first two rounds as she shot a 2-under par 70 and a 3-under 69. On Tuesday, Gutierrez added four more birdies in an even-par 72.
The award is the first career Big Sky Golfer of the Week honor for Gutierrez.
Weber State swept the weekly honors from the league office as Brendan Thomas was awarded the title on the men's side.
