Wildcats Fall to Roos

The Wildcats look ahead for more Big Sky play on Thursday against Sacramento State.
Ogden, UT – Weber State women's basketball fell to the Kansas City Roos 51-61 Saturday afternoon in the Dee Events Center.
In the first meeting between the Wildcats and the Roos, Kansas City jumped out to a 17-9 lead immediately putting pressure on the Wildcats at the end of the first quarter. That pressure slowly began to fade away as Weber State battled back in the second quarter to end the half trailing the Roos by only five points.
Into the third, the Wildcats found their momentum and surged their way back into the game staying close to Kansas City 43-38 to end the period. Despite keeping the game deficit down to five, the Wildcats found themselves heading into the final frame. Two pairs of free throws made by Daryn Hickok kept Weber State within reach to take the lead over the Roos near the end of the fourth quarter. However, Kansas City took control of the game for a final of 61-51.
