GAME NOTES: Final road trip weekend for the Wildcats

Weber State travels to Northern Colorado and then to Northern Arizona.
• Weber State women's basketball travels to Greeley, CO for a game against the Northern Colorado Bears.
• The Wildcats and Bears will tip off at 6 p.m. from the Bank of Colorado Arena in Greeley, CO. The game will be streamed on ESPN+. Live video links and stats can be found atWeberStateSports.com.
• Weber State is 7-21 and 4-11 in the Big Sky and currently sit in eighth place. The Wildcats started with their first seven games on the road but then won three straight games with wins over Nevada, Utah Tech, and Westminster. The Wildcats are coming off a home game loss against the Idaho State Bengals, 72-57.
• Weber State has been led by senior Daryn Hickok. She is 10th in the Big Sky at 12.2 points per game and has scored in double figures in eighteen games for the Wildcats. Hickok leads the team in scoring, free throws, and steals. Hickok was named to the Big Sky Preseason All-Conference team and earned All-Big Sky honors last year. She has played in 131 games in five seasons at Weber State and ranks third in career scoring.
• Senior Jadyn Matthews has scored in double figures fifteen times this season and is second in scoring at 11.3 points per game. Matthews collected a career high 30 points in the Wildcats game against Sacramento State on 1/11/24 while also recording a season high 11 rebounds and five assists. She is first in rebounding and second in assists for Weber State. Matthews has played in 139 career games at Weber State and ranks first in Weber State history in career games played. She also ranks fourth in career rebounding and eighth in career scoring. She was fifth in the Big Sky Conference in rebounding and 11th in scoring last season.
• Weber State is under the direction of first year head coach Jenteal Jackson who was named the seventh head coach in WSU history in April. A Utah native and former in-state college player, she came to Weber State after spending the last two seasons as head coach at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Prior to becoming head coach, she spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at Westminster. She played college basketball at BYU and Westminster.
• Northern Colorado is 13-13, 8-7 on the season. The Bears lost their last game 68-63 against the Eastern Washington Eagles and currently sit in fifth place in the Big Sky. The Bears are led by Delaynie Byrne in scoring (13.3), free throws (3.6), and rebounding (7.8). Byrne sits in sixth place in the Big Sky in scoring and third in rebounding.
• This will be the 44th all-time meeting between the two teams with a series of 29-14 for the Bears. In the last match up between the two, the Bears beat the Wildcats 73-63 in Ogden. Northern Colorado is 16-5 in all-time games in Greeley.
