Wildcats stumble in Greeley

The Wildcat's final road trip game of the regular season is Saturday in Flagstaff, AZ against the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks.
Greeley, CO - Weber State women's basketball traveled to Greeley to play on Thursday evening. The Bears topped the Wildcats, 72-64 behind a strong second-quarter shooting performance. With the loss, Weber State falls to 4-12 in the Big Sky.
The teams battled close early in the game, with the score tied 12-12 at the 3:38 point in the first quarter. The Bears extended the lead to 17-14 before a jumper by Sierra Davis pushed the Wildcats to trail the Bears by one 17-16 to end the quarter.
Hot shooting for Northern Colorado boosted the Bear's lead by 10 points going into the half. Weber State had 17 points compared to Northern Colorado's 26.
Behind the Bears, by a tally of 43-33, as the teams headed into the third quarter, the Wildcat's offense slowed down shooting only 30 percent from the field. The lack of consistent offense meant that the Bears led comfortably for most of the game.
Looking to make a comeback in the final frame, the Wildcats went on an 8-0 run early cutting the deficit to eight points. However, a run later made by the Bears boosted a 15-point lead and Northern Colorado defended their home court with a 72-64 win.
