Weber State football spring practice underway

The annual WSU spring game is set for April 13 at 1 p.m. at Stewart Stadium.
Spring is in the air and spring practice is underway for the the Weber State football team.Â
The Wildcats opened the first of 15 scheduled spring practices on March 12 and will conclude with the annual spring game on Saturday, April 13.Â
WSU has two live scrimmages during spring camp, scheduled for March 23 at approximately 11 a.m. and April 5. More details to follow regarding scrimmages. All practices are held at Stewart Stadium or the lower practice fields on campus.Â

Head coach Mickey Mental returns for his second season as head coach of the Wildcats. WSU is coming off its ninth straight winning season last year and won the final three games of the season, including a win over fourth-ranked Idaho.Â
Weber State opens the 2024 season on August 31 at Washington. WSU will also play non-conference games at Lamar and Northwestern State, and a home game against McNeese.Â
The Big Sky season includes home games against Portland State, Northern Colorado, Idaho State, and Cal Poly, and road games at Montana, Sacramento State, Northern Arizona, and Idaho.Â
