WSU cheer and dance both won two National Championships, including three Grand National titles.

Last weekend the Weber State Spirit Squad went to Florida. They returned home with four national championship trophies.

It was a historic weekend for the Weber State Spirit Squad as the Wildcat cheer and dance team both won two national championships at the 2024 NCA/NDA Collegiate National Championships in Daytona, Florida.

The Weber State cheer team won both the Small and Large Coed national titles. Both teams won the Grand National Championship with the best score of any school in any division in both competitions.

The Large Coed group took first in the Division IA Championships and then won the Grand competition with a score of 99.2333, the highest score in school history.

It's the second straight year WSU has won the Grand National title and the third time in the last four years.

Weber State has now won seven straight Large Coed National titles and won the Grand title three times.

Weber State also claimed the national title in the Small Coed Division, then also won the Grand title with the best score of any school.

WSU earned a score of 95.9667 to claim the grand title by more than two points.

It's Weber State's second Small Coed National title in the last three years.

In addition, the partner stunt team of Josh Hill and Hailey Smith took first place at 97.1556.

The Wildcat cheer team is coached by Summer Willis, who has led Weber State to national titles in 2009, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024, with grand titles in 2021, 2023, and 2024.

It was also a double championship for the Weber State dance team. The Wildcat dance team took home two national championships at the NDA Championships this weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida, and had the best score of any school in one competition.

The Wildcats captured the Grand National Championship in the Jazz competition. The Wildcats posted a score of 98.3429 to win the Division I title. That score is the best score of any school in any division in the competition.

On Saturday, WSU followed up with another trophy as WSU took home the national title in the Hip Hop Division I competition. WSU posted a score of 95.5714 to claim the title.

It's the fourth ever Hip Hop national title for Weber State, including two of the last four years.

It's a big month for the Weber State Dance Team. Weber State has been selected to represent Team USA later in April at the Premier Hip Hop category at the ICU World Championships.

Erica Williams is the head coach of the Wildcat dance team.
