Weber State football spring game set for Saturday

Weber State football will conclude the spring season with the annual Wildcat Spring Game on Saturday, April 13. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Stewart Stadium and admission is free.

Prior to the game, beginning at 12 p.m., there will be a yard sale of old Wildcat gear in the plaza on the north side of the stadium.

Wildcat head coach Mickey Mental will lead Weber State in the spring game scrimmage which will feature the offense against the defense in a modified scoring system.

Due to construction in the SkySuites at Stewart Stadium, fans are encouraged to enter through the north side and sit in the new east stands.

Mental returns for his second season as head coach and his third season as the offensive coordinator at Weber State. The Wildcats are coming off a 6-5 record in 2023, their ninth straight winning season.

Weber State won the final three games of the season, including a win over fourth-ranked Idaho. Freshman quarterback Richie Muñoz led the Wildcats in the final five games of the season and returns as a sophomore.

Weber State opens the 2024 season on August 31 at Washington. WSU will also play non-conference games at Lamar and Northwestern State, and a home game against McNeese.

The Big Sky season includes home games against Portland State, Northern Colorado, Idaho State, and Cal Poly, and road games at Montana, Sacramento State, Northern Arizona, and Idaho.

Season tickets for Wildcat football will also go on sale at the spring game on April 13 and online at WeberStateTickets.com.
