Wildcats conclude spring practice with Spring Game

The 2026 season begins on August 29.
OGDEN - Weber State had to wait a little longer to play the annual spring game to conclude spring practice. Â
After a 45-minute lightning delay, the Wildcats finished spring practice under new head coach Eric Kjar, and the game saw plenty of highlights on both sides of the ball.Â
The Wildcat offense scored several touchdowns throughout the game and on situational plays. New senior transfer quarterback Devin Brown threw for over 160 yards, and redshirt freshman Kingston Tisdell threw for over 130 yards with a couple of touchdowns. Tisdell threw a 40-yard touchdown to Ammon Munyer. Cash McCollum and DJ Duran also saw time at quarterback.Â
More than 10 different Wildcats had receptions on the day, with seniors Marvin Session and Devin Ford each with three catches.Â
The Wildcats rushed for more than 140 yards with Seth Rigrup and Spencer Ferguson leading the rushing attack.Â
The WSU defense made several defensive stops and key plays. Tommy Romano, Jayden Mayberry, Tajon Evans, and Mason Jeppsen each had an interception. The 'Cats had several sacks, with Josh Hardy accounting for three sacks.Â
"We did some good things on both sides of the ball and had good energy," Kjar said. "I think there are glimpses of what we want and what our team can be; we have to be more consistent in our approach and assignments."Â
Weber State has added nearly 50 new players to this year's roster.Â
The 2026 season will begin on August 29 at Northern Colorado. The Wildcats will also play at Southern Utah and Colorado before the first home game on September 19 against Northwestern State.Â
