2024-25 Big Sky basketball schedules announced

Weber State men's and women's teams will play both play an 18-game conference schedule starting January 2.
 The Big Sky Conference has announced the men's and women's basketball schedules for the 2024-25 seasons.Â
Once again, each team will play a full 18-game conference schedule that will begin on January 2 and run through March 3.Â
The men's and women's Big Sky Championships will be held March 8-12 at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, Idaho with all 10 schools participating.Â
MEN
The Weber State men's squad will start conference play with three straight games on the road. The Wildcats begin the conference slate on January 2 at Northern Colorado, then play at Northern Arizona on January 4 and at Idaho State on January 11.Â
WSU will have a stretch of four straight home games from January 30 to February 8 as the 'Cats host Idaho, Eastern Washington, Northern Arizona, and Idaho State.Â
The Wildcats will conclude the season at Eastern Washington and Idaho on February 27 and March 1, then host Northern Colorado on Monday, March 3 in the final conference game.Â
Weber State will have two Monday games at home during the season.Â
Head coach Eric Duft returns for his third season as head coach of the Wildcats. Despite losing Big Sky MVP Dillon Jones to the NBA, Weber State returns three starters and five letterwinners from last year's team that won 20 games. Blaise Threatt, Dyson Koehler, and Alex Tew are returning starters. The Wildcats also welcome seven new players, with three Division I transfers and four freshmen.Â
WOMEN
Head coach Jenteal Jackson and the Wildcat women's basketball team will begin conference play with three home games starting on January 2 against Northern Colorado. The women's schedule mirrors the men's schedule as the Wildcat women's team will also host Northern Arizona on January 4 and Idaho State on January 11.Â
WSU will conclude the season with home games against Eastern Washington on February 27 and Idaho on March 1, before finishing the season at Northern Colorado on March 3.Â
Weber State has only four players returning who played last season and has 11 new players joining the Wildcats this season, including five transfers.Â
The full non-conference schedules for both teams will be announced later.
