Wildcats Close Fall Season with Sun Mountain Title; Bayer Takes Medalist Honors

MISSOULA, Mont. – The Weber State women's golf team closed out the 2025 fall season in style on Tuesday, taking the team championship of the Sun Mountain Intercollegiate for the team's second tournament title of the season.

The Wildcats held the lead throughout the tournament as they posted rounds of 294 and 296 on Monday to take a one-shot lead into the final round at The Ranch Club. On Tuesday, WSU pulled away with a final round 290, finishing six shots clear of second place Portland State.

Weber State also took home the individual medalist championship as well, with Braylyn Bayer – who was playing as an individual in the tournament – shooting rounds of 73, 72 and 69 for a 2-under par total of 214. Bayer recorded 15 birdies over the 54-hole event, including six in her final round 69 as she moved from a tie for fourth place into the lead over the last 18 holes.

Emily Song led the Wildcat scoring team finishing in a three-way tie for second place with a 1-over par total of 217. Song held the 36-hole lead after rounds of 72 and 71 on Monday, but was overtaken by Bayer as she posted a final round 74. Song carded a total of nine birdies for the tournament.

Jade Gruher carded six birdies while shooting rounds of 72, 75 and 72 for a 3-over par 219 to finish in sixth place overall. Cala Korman added seven birdies over rounds of 75, 73 and 73 for a 5-over par 221 and a tie for ninth place, giving Weber State four players overall, and three scoring team members, in the top-10.

Sofia Fuenmayor, who opened with rounds of 75 and 77, shot a 1-under par 71 on Tuesday to move into a tie for 12th place, finishing at 7-over par 223.

Adley Nelson rounded out the scoring team lineup, shooting rounds of 77, 78 and 76 for a 15-over par total of 231.

Also playing as individuals, Rachel Lillywhite shot 76-73-76 for a 9-over par total of 225 and an 18th place finish, while Brynn Bischoff shot 80-74-80 to tie for 32nd with a total of 234.
