Weber State volleyball welcomes three new signees

OGDEN - Weber State volleyball and head coach Jeremiah Larsen are excited to announce the addition of three new players to the Wildcat team. Alexis Carlson, Addisyn Beck and Maris Mauzey have signed with Weber State. "We are excited to welcome this part of our 2026 recruiting class to Weber State," said Larsen. "We look forward to the impact they will make in our program."

Alexis Carlson

Carlson is a 5'11" outside hitter from South Jordan, Utah.

From Bingham High School, Carlson lettered in volleyball all four years and played in 134 sets, totaling 481 kills for a .190 hitting percentage. Throughout her high school career, she has recorded 31 aces, 38 total blocks and 137 digs. 

Carlson was a part of the 2025 18's Nationals Champions and the 2023 Region Champions. She was named to the All-Region First Team and the All-State Third Team in 2024, and to the All-Region First Team and the All-State First Team in 2025. Carlson was also ranked the ninth-best player in Utah for the class of 2026. 

Carlson plans to major in Health Care while at Weber State. 

"Lexie is in the early stages of her journey to reach her full potential. She plays high above the net and works very hard at improving her game. It has been fun to see her development, and I look forward to helping her in her journey," said Jeremiah Larsen

Maris Mauzey

Mauzey is a 6'1" opposite from Chandler, Arizona. 

From Hamilton High School, Mauzey is a three-year letter winner in volleyball. She played in 308 sets for the Huskies, recording 384 kills over her career and 172 her senior year for a .209 hitting percentage. Mauzey also totaled 177 blocks and 135 digs over her high school career. Mauzey was named to the All-Region First Team and was awarded All-Conference First Team honors in 2025. 

Mauzey plans to major in Dental Hygiene while at Weber State. 

"Maris is a great kid and has a wonderful family. She has the ability to play multiple positions, which will help her make a significant impact on us at a high level. She is very long and plays the game like it matters," said Larsen.

Addisyn Beck

Beck is a 6'0" outside hitter from Spanish Fork, Utah.

From Pleasant Grove High School, Beck played in 278 sets and recorded 664 kills over her career for a .240 hitting percentage while also totaling 97 blocks and 224 digs. In 2022, Beck received All-Region Honorable Mention honors. 

While playing for Club V, Beck helped the team to a National Championship in the 17 Patriot division.

Beck plans to major in Radiology while at Weber State.

"Addie has a huge arm and is very physical. She works hard, plays with a lot of passion, and is very coachable. I look forward to helping her develop as a volleyball player," said Larsen.
