Wildcats sweep Griz at home

OGDEN - Wildcat volleyball swept the Montana Griz this Wednesday evening, improving their Big Sky record to 8-7.
Weber State opened the night with a strong 25-22 first-set victory, hitting .412 percent. Rose Moore led the squad with five kills.
In the second set, the Wildcats trailed 18-13 before using a 5-0 run courtesy of two Weber State kills and three Montana errors to take a 23-21 lead. The Griz briefly tied it at 23-23, but a Moore kill followed by another Montana error sealed the set for the 'Cats, 25-23.
Montana grabbed a quick lead to start the third, but Weber State responded immediately and never allowed the Griz to reclaim control. The Wildcats closed out the sweep with a dominant 25-17 finish.
Kaylie Ray and Rose Moore each posted 12 kills to lead the offense. As a team, Weber State hit .340 compared to Montana's .241, securing the 3-0 sweep.
