Wildcats sweep Bobcats on senior night to conclude regular-season play

OGDEN - Wildcat volleyball closed out its regular season with a 3-0 sweep over the Montana State Bobcats on senior night.
Weber State took control of the first set, winning 25-15. The Wildcats hitting percentage was a strong .333, while Montana State struggled with a -.030 percent. Brielle Rueckert, Ashley Gneiting and Kaylie Ray each contributed three kills for Weber State.
The second set was much closer, with both teams battling back and forth. The score was tied three times late in the set before Weber State ultimately secured the 2-0 match lead, 27-25, on a service ace from Gneiting. Weber State then dominated the third set, using a five-point run to seal the set 25-12 and complete the sweep on senior night.
Weber State hit .320 percent and held the Bobcats to just .073 percent.
Ashley Gneiting led the squad with nine kills and a .381 hitting percentage.
Brielle Rueckert hit .556 percent on five kills, and Sanne Munyer hit .500 percent on six kills. Munyer also totaled one solo block and six block assists.
Head Coach Jeremiah Larsen recorded his 109th Big Sky win, now the most in Wildcat history.
