'Cats wrap up weekend at Mountain State Games

The Wildcats wrapped up a busy weekend at the Mountain State Games in Pocatello, Idaho from Feb. 14-15.Â
Mountain State Games
Abby Triplett finished first in the high jump with a mark of 5-08.50 and improved to ninth on the all-time list Aimee Chambers-Lenthe finished fifth at 5-03.25, Stacia Barker finished in the 11th at 5-01.25 and Abby Titus finished in 14th with a mark of 4-09.50.Â
"Very excited for Abby in the high jump! She had a great series today and moved up on the Indoor All-Time list," assistant coach Lindsey Anderson said.Â
Kapua Pulotu recorded a first place finish in the shot put with a mark of 47-07.75, Bailey Tovey finished in ninth at 43-02.25, Rachel Roberts finished in tenth at 42-09.50 and Teisa Halaufia finished in 16th at 36-11.50.Â
Danielle Brow recorded a second place finish in the 3000 meter with a time of 10:01.55 and Frances Hudson finished in ninth at 10:12.72.Â

In the 60 meter prelims, Jasmine Devers finished seventh at 7.77, a season best; both Makayla Oliver and Eliza Smith finished tenth at 7.86. Following the finals, Devers finished at 7.87, Oliver finished at 8:03 and Smith finished at 8:05.Â
Both Smith and Emily Gwilliam both qualified for the finals following their performances in the 60 meter hurdles prelims. Smith qualified with a third place finish and a time of 8.85 and Gwilliam finished eighth at 9.07 seconds. Smith went on to run a 8.88 in the finals and Gwilliam finished with a 9.17.Â
Charlotte Wilkinson recorded a third place finish in the 800 meter prelims with a time of 2:12.78 and recorded another third place finish in the finals with a time of 2:13.95.Â
Laurie Murphy finished third in the 5000 meter with a time of 17:15.91, Hudson finished in fifth at 17:50.28 and Brow finished in seventh at 18:01.13.Â
Hannah Bailey finished fourth in the 800 meter prelims with a time of 2:13.23, Maggie Featherstone finished with a time of 2:19.91 and Loryn Brimhall finished at 2:23.85
Devers and Smith qualified for the 200 meter dash, Devers finished fifth at 25.15 and Smith finished sixth at 26.42.Â
Angelyca Chapman finished the 400 meter prelims with a third place finish at 56.47 and also recorded a third place finish in the finals with a time of 56.78.Â
Hannah Bailey finished the mile in sixth with a time of 4:59.59, Featherstone finished at 5:21.75 and Brimhall finished with a time of 5:31.66.Â
Shannan Fonua finished the weight throw with a mark of 53-02.75 in seventh, Halaufia finished 12th at 49-11.00, Pulotu finished at 44-03.50, Tovey recorded a mark of 43-08.75 and Daphne Scriven finished at 39-00.25.
Titus finished in the long jump with a mark of 16-04.25 and Olivia finished with 15-07.75.Â
"We rested a handful of athletes who had gotten sick this week but for most of the team who did compete, we had some strong performances with season or personal bests across the board," Anderson said.Â
Up Next:
"Now we have a couple weeks to fine tune some things before heading to the Big Sky Indoor Championships," Anderson said.Â
The 'Cats will compete at the Big Sky Championships in Flagstaff, Arizona from Feb. 27 - March 1.
