Wildcat Track and Field recorded a strong finish at the Big Sky Indoor Championships. The three day event was held from Feb. 27 - March 1 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The team tallied 35 points as a team.

Alex Wheeler recorded a first place finish in the 200 meter finals with a time of 21.36 after  finishing sixth in the 200 meter prelims with a time of 21.48. Wheeler received title of Big Sky Champion following this performance in the event. Noah Kjar recorded a season best of 22.03 and Tristan Spalding finished at 22.35.

"Our highlight of the meet was the 200m finals. I'm very proud of Alex Wheeler," head coach Corbin Talley said. "He has worked so hard for this opportunity, so to come away with an individual conference championship is extremely rewarding."

Rodee Brow finished second in the 400 meter prelims and recorded a season best of 47.36 and is now tied for third on the all-time list. Brow developed an injury in the finals.

"It was very unfortunate to have Rodee pull up with a hamstring injury. Rodee is a captain and really the heart of our team," Talley said. "Losing him hurt us tremendously. Both in points and in spirit."
