Weber State women's basketball finished fourth in the regular season standings with a 10-8 record. It's Weber State's highest finish in the standings since the 2017-18 season. The Wildcats will be the No. 4 seed in the tournament and will play the No. 5 seed Idaho State on Monday, March 10 at noon. Weber State defeated the Bengals twice in overtime during regular season play. Taylor Smith leads the Wildcats at 13.3 points per game and Lanae Billy leads the conference in 3-point shooting.


The Wildcats will take on the No. 5 seed Idaho State in the quarterfinals of the tournament. Weber State won both meeting of the two teams this season with both games going into overtime. This will be the 101st meeting between the Wildcats and the Bengals with the series tied 50-50. Weber State met Idaho State in the postseason tournament in 2018 in Reno, NV where the Bengals went on to win 113-109 in overtime. That game holds the Big Sky record for most points in a game and most points in one half (64).

Weber State is under the direction of second-year head coach Jenteal Jackson who was named the seventh head coach in WSU history. A Utah native and former in-state college player, she came to Weber State after spending the two seasons as head coach at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. Before becoming head coach, she spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at Westminster. She played college basketball at BYU and Westminster.

The Wildcats lead the Big Sky Conference in three point percentage and are nationally ranked at No. 57. Four Wildcats are nationally ranked in the top 100:
  • Taylor Smith is ranked No. 83 in free throw percentage.
  • Kendra Parra is ranked No. 15 in free throw percentage.
  • Antoniette Emma-Nnopu is ranked No. 58 in rebounds and No. 50 in rebounds per game.
  • Lanae Billy is ranked No. 10 in three point percentage, No. 73 in three pointers per game and No. 83 in three pointers.

Wildcats Kendra Parra, Kennedy Eskelson, Margarita Satini, Taylor Smith, and Amanda Edwards all returned to the Weber State team this season. Weber State picked up transfers Rose Bubakar from BYU, Antoniette Emma-Nnopu from UNC Greensboro, Lanae Billy from Fort Lewis College, Japrix Stubbs from USU Eastern, and Arizana Peaua from Westminster. The team also welcomed five newcomers, Maya Davis, Fui Niumeitolu, Mata Peaua, Dakota Nap, and Vanna Quintana.
