Men’s Tennis falls in 1st Round of Big Sky Tournament

Phoenix, AZ — The Weber State Wildcats were defeated by the Idaho Vandals in the opening round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament, falling 4-2.
The Wildcats clinched the doubles point, winning he matches in both positions #1 and #2 by a score of 6-2. Connor Kruger and Ken Minh took the victory on Court #1 while Tristan Sarap and William Zulch took theirs on Court #2. Liam Day and Jordan Coutinho went unfinished on Court #3.
In singles, Theo Mottier swept his opponent in straight sets, taking his match on Court #6 6-1, 7-6. The Wildcats were defeated in the rest of the singles matches played. Connor Kruger and Ken Minh took their matches to the three-set limit before ultimately falling short. Liam Day went unfinished on Court #5 after coming back to win the second set in his match.
The loss ends the Wildcats' season. The team will be graduating seniors Tristan Sarap, Liam Day and Jordan Coutinho. The 'Cats finish 2025 with a 9-12 record overall and a 5-3 mark in Big Sky Conference play.
