Wildcats open fall season in Boise

Boise, ID — The Weber State Wildcats men's tennis team opened up their fall season with the Dar Walters Classic on the campus of Boise State University.
The Wildcats sent two duos north to compete as William Zulch and Franco Quijano competed in the orange draw and Ken Dinh and Connor Kruger played in the blue draw.
Dinh and Kruger took down a duo from Montana in the opening round, 2-1. The two took the doubles point 7-6 (7-3), and Kruger defeated his opponent in singles 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the next round.
In the quarterfinals, the duo was swept by a team from BYU, 3-0, falling 6-2 in doubles and falling by walkover in singles.
In the orange draw, Zulch and Quijano fell in their first match, 2-1, to a team from Montana State. Zulch and Quijano took the doubles point 6-4 before both fell in singles.
Next up for the team is the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This tournament begins on September 20th and runs through September 28th.
