Wildcats Put Seven in Top 16 at Idaho State Invitational

Elin Hagelin leads Weber State with a second-place finish

The Weber State women's cross country team put together a strong performance Friday at the Idaho State Invitational in Pocatello, with seven Wildcats finishing inside the top 16.

Elin Hagelin led the way for Weber State, placing second with a time of 18:11 and an average mile pace of 5:51.

Sandra Aberg followed with a fourth-place finish in 18:32, averaging a 5:58 mile, while Elayna Loveridge added a seventh-place finish in 18:45 with a 6:02 average mile.

Maggie Featherstone crossed the finish line in 18:51, averaging a 6:04 mile, and Charlotte Wilkinson rounded out Weber State's top five with a time of 18:56.

Melanie Anderson added a 14th-place finish, while Berit Guzas finished 16th to give the Wildcats seven runners among the top 16 finishers.

The performance continues a strong start to the 2026 season for Weber State, which opened the year with a second-place team finish at the Utah State Alumni Challenge before competing at the Indiana State John McNichols Invitational.

With another strong pack performance in Pocatello, the Wildcats continue to build toward the championship portion of the season.

Weber State will return to competition Oct. 9 at the Bill Dellinger Invitational and CSI Invitational.
