Weber State football announces spring practice schedule

A new era of Weber State football is underway as new head coach Eric Kjar leads the Wildcats into spring practice for the 2026 season.

The first of 15 scheduled spring practices for the Wildcats will be held on Monday, March 9. WSU also has two scrimmages scheduled, in addition to the spring game on April 11 at 11 a.m.

The full spring practice schedule is below. The schedule is always subject to change.

All practices will be held at Stewart Stadium.

Eric Kjar was named the 13th head coach in Weber State history on December 16, and comes to WSU after unprecedented success as a Utah high school coach. He posted a 112-10 record with six state championships over the last nine seasons as the head coach at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah.

Kjar and the new coaching staff have added approximately 50 new players to join the Wildcat team this fall.

Weber State opens the 2026 season with coach Kjar on August 29 at Northern Colorado. The first home game is scheduled for September 19 against Northwestern State.
