2026-27 Weber State men’s basketball schedule announced

Wildcats will have 18 home games in the first season under new head coach Kaleb Canales and will play every team in the state of Utah.
OGDEN - The first schedule for the new era of Wildcat basketball has been announced. Weber State men's basketball has released its full schedule for the 2026-27 season, the first season under new head coach Kaleb Canales.
This season's schedule will include 18 home games, a game against every NCAA team in the state of Utah, another Junction City Jam, and a full 20-game Big Sky Conference schedule.
The season will begin with three exhibition games at the Dee Events Center. WSU will host Colorado Christian on Oct. 17, Westminster on Oct. 24, and Colorado Mesa on Oct. 28.
The regular season will begin on Monday, Nov. 2, at Oregon State.
WSU's regular season home opener and the first of 15 home regular season games will be on Saturday, Nov. 7, against Utah Valley.
The Wildcats will play at Utah (Nov. 10), Utah State (Nov. 18), and BYU (Dec. 15). With those games, along with an exhibition game against Westminster and two games each against new Big Sky members Utah Tech and Southern Utah, the Wildcats will play every NCAA school in the state of Utah this season.
The 'Cats will also have a home game on November 14 against Lincoln.
For the second-straight season, Weber State will host the Junction City Jam at the Dee Events Center. The Wildcats will play Tarleton State on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at 5 p.m. and face CSUN on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 4 p.m., both at the Dee Events Center.
WSU will close out November with a road game at Cal State Fullerton on Nov. 28.
The full 20-game Big Sky schedule was previously announced, and the Wildcats will open conference play against the two new members of the league. WSU will play at Utah Tech on Dec. 3, then at Southern Utah on Dec. 5.
After that, WSU returns to non-conference play and will host Washington State on Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Dee Events Center. That game will tipoff at noon.
After a game at BYU on Dec. 15, the final non-conference game will be on Dec. 18 at UC Santa Barbara.
The 'Cats will resume Big Sky Conference play with a New Year's Eve game against Northern Arizona on Dec. 31 at 2 p.m. at the Dee Events Center.
All 11 Big Sky teams will play each other twice during the year. WSU will close the season with home games on Feb. 27 against Idaho State and March 1 against Eastern Washington.
The Big Sky Championships will be held March 5-10 in Boise, Idaho.
New this season, many weekday games will begin at 6 p.m., and Saturday games will be played at 4 p.m. Other games will tipoff at a variety of times.
This season will be a new era of Wildcat basketball under new head coach Kaleb Canales, who was hired in April as the 13th head coach in Weber State's Division I history.
Canales comes to Weber State after spending 18 seasons in the NBA, plus last season at Troy University.
Weber State has 12 new players joining two remaining players from last year.
