Wildcats Sweep Wolf Pack in Reno

Weber State volleyball earned a 3-0 sweep over Nevada Thursday night at Virginia Street Gym in Reno, Nevada.
The Wildcats won 25-20, 25-20, 25-16 in their first match against the Wolf Pack. Weber State hit .372 for the match with 41 kills and finished with six service aces.
Rose Moore and Tennille Gonder each led Weber State with 12 kills. Moore hit .300 and added seven digs, while Gonder hit .500 and finished with two solo blocks and one block assist. Lexie Carlson added six kills, and Ziya Munyer had six kills while hitting .500 and recording a match-high four service aces. Stacia Barker added three kills and four blocks, including one solo block and three block assists.
Addison Eastwood finished with a team-high 28 assists and added five digs and one service ace. Morgan Pratt and Marly Pratt each recorded five assists, with Marly adding a team-high 12 digs. Katelynn Albano had four digs, while Maggie Larsen added a service ace.
Weber State opened the match with a 25-20 victory in the first set. The Wildcats recorded 13 kills on 34 attacks with just two errors, hitting .324. Nevada finished the set with 13 kills and a .206 hitting percentage.
The Wildcats followed with another 25-20 win in the second set. Weber State recorded 11 kills and hit .261, while Nevada had 14 kills but committed eight errors and hit .162.
Weber State closed out the sweep with a dominant third-set performance, hitting .517 with 17 kills and just two errors. The Wildcats won the set 25-16, limiting Nevada to a .241 hitting percentage.
Weber State finished the match with 33 digs compared to Nevada's 30 and held a 7-3 advantage in total team blocks. The Wildcats also recorded six service aces while limiting Nevada to three.
