Wildcats Battle Kansas State in Four-Set Loss

Weber State volleyball battled back to force a fourth set, but ultimately fell 3-1 to Kansas State Friday night in Reno, Nevada, wrapping up their road trip.
The Wildcats dropped the opening two sets 25-16 and 25-19 before responding with a 27-25 victory in the third. Kansas State closed out the match with a 25-18 win in the fourth set.
Rose Moore led Weber State with 14 kills, while Ziya Munyer added six kills while hitting .417. Sophia Sparrow finished with four kills on five attacks for a .800 hitting percentage.
Weber State came alive offensively in the third set, recording 15 kills while hitting .306. The Wildcats used the offensive surge to fight back and take the set 27-25, extending the match.
The Wildcats finished the match with 38 kills and 40 digs, while recording 14 total team blocks. Maggie Larsen led Weber State with three blocks and four digs, and Marly Pratt posted a team-high 15 digs.
Weber State will come home to face off against Utah State and BYU back in Swenson Gym.
