Wildcats Head to Utah Valley for Final Nonconference Match

After splitting a pair of home matches against Utah State and BYU, Weber State volleyball will hit the road Saturday for its final nonconference match of the season against Utah Valley.
The Wildcats will face the Wolverines Saturday in Orem, Utah, as Weber State looks to close out nonconference play on a strong note before beginning Big Sky Conference action.
Weber State enters the match with a 6-3 overall record after earning a dramatic 3-2 comeback victory over Utah State Tuesday night at Swenson Gym before falling to BYU 3-0 on Thursday.
Against Utah State, the Wildcats battled back from a two-set deficit to earn the five-set victory. Weber State opened the match with a 25-12 win before Utah State took the next two sets. The Wildcats responded by taking the fourth set 25-23 and carried that momentum into the decisive fifth set, where they secured a 15-10 victory. Weber State faced a tough BYU squad Thursday night, falling in three sets.Â
Utah Valley enters Saturday's match looking to continue its season before the start of conference play. The Wolverines will provide Weber State with one final test before the Wildcats turn their attention to Big Sky Conference competition.
