As a Junior in 2008-09: Ali played, and started all 29 games for the Wildcats... Averaged 10.3 points per game, a career-high and third-best on the team... More than doubled her previous career-high with 110 rebounds... Also set career-high's in assists (36), blocks (2), steals (13), field goals (97), 3-point field goals (63) and free-throws (43)... Hit double figures in points 14 times during the season, with a season, and career-high of 23 coming in an 84-73 win over Westminster College on Nov. 25... Backed that game up with outings of 19 and 18 points (67-60 loss to Youngstown State and 85-80 win over Elon)... Hit six three-pointers vs. Westminster, five vs. Youngstown State and another six vs. Elon for 17 over the three-game stretch... Also had a three-game stretch later in the year where she scored 18 with six treys (65-62 loss at Montana State), 19 with five three's (82-54 loss to Montana) and 16 with four three's (68-57 loss to Sac State)... Hit a three-pointer as time expired to lead Weber State to a 63-60 win over Northern Arizona on Feb. 26... Led the Big Sky Conference with 2.17 three-point field goals per game... Hit 87.8 percent from the free-throw line, but only reached the stripe for 49 attempts (43 makes) on the year.


As a Sophomore in 2007-08: Ali was one of five Wildcats that played in all 28 games during the season...Also started the final two games of the year...Finished the year with an average of 7.4 points per game, the third best on the Wildcat team...Scored in double figures eight times during the year, including career-highs of 16 points three times...Had 16 points in WSU’s home win over BYU in December...Also scored 16 in both games against Sacramento State...WSU was 6-2 in those games she scored in double figures...Also finished the season averaging 2.1 rebounds and shooting 34 percent from the field...Made 49 three-pointers during the season, the most on the WSU team, and finished the year seventh in the Big Sky in three-pointers per game at 1.75...Knocked down four three-pointers in a game four times on the year...Finished the year 12-15 from the free throw line.

 

As a Freshman in 2006-07:  Ali saw action in 15 games as a freshman for the Wildcats...She scored five points on the year, with a career-high three point coming November 25 in WSU’s 98-57 win over Idaho...Also had two points against Utah...Totaled four rebounds and four assists on the year...Had three assists in the same win over Idaho where she played a season-high ten minutes...Was 1-8 from the field during the season and was a perfect 2-2 from the free throw line.

 

High School:  Earned four high school letters in basketball at Highlands Ranch High School...Earned All-State honors as a senior and was an Honorable Mention All-State selection as a junior...Was named to the All-Conference Team in her final three seasons...As a senior she averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game...She also shot 53 percent from the field and 79 percent from the free throw line and averaged three assists per game.

 

Personal:  Was born September 2, 1987 in Detroit, Michigan...Parents are Eric and Loree Thorderson...Has three younger sisters, Abby (19), Chloe (14), and Lexy (12)...Is majoring in Elementary Education at Weber State... Her sister Abby is also a member of the WSU women's basketball team.
