Graduated from Punahou High School in Honolulu where he played for Coach Kale Ane...Played running back and linebacker at Punahou...As a senior in 2012 had 108 carries for 712 yards and 12 touchdowns...Averaged 6.6 yards per carry...Also had five receptions for 103 yards and two touchdowns, an average of 20.6 yards per catch...Earned First Team All-ILH honors and Second Team All-State honors...Also ran track and field and reached the state finals in the hurdles.
