Originally recruited by coach Jay Hill and signed to play at the University of Utah in February 2012...Did not play at Utah but played the 2012 season at West Los Angeles College playing in five games and recording six solo tackles...Then transferred to Cerritos College and sat out the 2013 season as a red shirt and played with Cerritos in 2014.

Dominguez High School
Graduated from Dominguez High School in 2012 where he played for coach Keith Donerson...Was rated in the top 50 prospects in Los Angeles by ESPNU out of high school...Was a First Team All-CIF and First Team All-San Gabriel Valley League selection as a senior after earning Second Team All-CIF and First Team all-league honors his junior season… Helped the team win consecutive league championships… Had 45 tackles and four interceptions as a senior and recorded 30 tackles and forced three fumbles his junior season… Was a member of the football, basketball and track and field teams...Had seven career interceptions.
