Brian Zeches
- Title:
- Assistant Coach / Running Backs
Brian enters his second season with the Wildcats. He is primarly responsible for the running backs and fullbacks at Weber State.
Brian comes to Weber State after serving as a graduate assistant coach at UTEP in 2008 and 2009 under Coach Mike Price, working with the defense. In 2006 and 2007, he served as a graduate assistant at the University of New Mexico.
Brian is not new to Ogden. In 1987 and 1988, his father, Jim Zeches, served on the Weber State football staff under Coach Mike Price coaching the inside linebackers. Brian was five-years old at the time.
In 1989, Brian’s father left Weber State, with Price, to join the coaching staff at Washington State. Brian graduated from Pullman High where he played quarterback on the football team and first base on the baseball team. His senior year, he directed Pullman High to an 11-1 record and into the state semifinal game.
He began his collegiate career at the University of Illinois (2001-02), then transferred to Idaho State where he played three seasons for the Bengals under Coach Larry Lewis. He appeared in three games as a reserve quarterback during the 2005 season.
His father, who played collegiately at Cal State Northridge, is currently an NFL Scout for the Washington Redskins.
