   Kamaal Ahmad begins his sixth season in the Wildcat program this year.  He serves as Weber State's Director of Football Operations and NFL Liason. 

   Kamaal started at Weber State in 2006 and worked two years as a graduate assistant coach, helping on the defensive line.  In 2008 he became a part-time coach. 

   His connections in his native state of Oklahoma have paid off for the Wildcats. Eight players on the 2010 roster are from the Sooner state, and several of them are expected to make an impact for the ‘Cats this season.

   A native of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ahmad was an All-City linebacker and graduated from Santa Fe High School. He played two seasons at Northeast Oklahoma A&M where he was a Phi Theta Kappa honor student in the classroom. He red-shirted his freshman year and started as a sophomore helping his team to the junior college playoffs. 

   Kamaal played at the University of Kentucky from 2002 through 2004 and was selected as the Players Council rep serving in that capacity for two seasons.  He graduated in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and history.   In 2005 he boxed for the University of Kentucky boxing team. He won the Midwest regional heavyweight championship and captured the 2006 Kentucky state Golden Gloves heavyweight championship with a 16-second knockout!   He has fought on several local and regional fight cards and is trained by Ogden native, Bob Lopez.
