Ted Stanley

Ted Stanley returns for his second season on the Wildcat coaching staff where he coaches the tight ends. He joined the Wildcat staff in the spring of 2012.

Stanley came to Weber State after spending the past nine seasons as the head football coach at Kenyon College, a Division III school in Gambier, Ohio. In 2005 he helped rebuild the Kenyon program and led the Lords to a 6-4 overall record an a second place finish in the North Coast Athletic Conference. He guided Kenyon to great success on the offensive side of the ball.

Prior to his time at Kenyon, Stanley spent two seasons as the co-defensive coordinator at the University of Chicago. Prior to that he spent three seasons as the defensive line coach at Grinnell College, a Division III school in Grinnell, Iowa.

Stanley served as the Director of Football Operations at the University of Utah in 1996 and 1997, under head coach Ron McBride.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College in 1993 and went on to receive a master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Utah in 1996. He also spent time as an assistant coach at Allen Hancock Junior College where he coach wide receivers and was a graduate assistant at Utah.

Stanley is a native of Salt Lake City and graduated from Skyline High School. He has a one-year old daughther Emmerson.
