2010: Derek played in ten of WSU's 11 games during the season...Totaled 29 all-purpose yards on the season...Had three catches for 20 yards, all coming in a home game against Eastern Washington on October 2...Recorded one kickoff return for nine yards, coming in WSU's last game of the season November 20 at Texas Tech.

2009:  Played in all 12 games in a reserve role. ... Had one catch for four yards at home vs. Montana State and had an unassisted tackle on special teams vs. Idaho State...Named to the 2009 All-Big Sky Conference Academic Team.

2008: Appeared in nine games had one catch for six yards vs. @Northern Arizona.

2007: Caught a 10-yard touchdown pass in the 2007 Spring Intra-Squad game but did not have any stats during the regular season playing in two games.

2006: Sat out the season as a red-shirt.
