Tim Gardner spent six seasons as an assistant coach for the Wildcats. He came to Weber State in 2006 with coach Randy Rahe. He has been a part of three Big Sky Championships in his seasons with the Wildcats.
Gardner came to Weber State after spending seven seasons as the head boy’s basketball coach at Juan Diego High School in Draper, Utah.
Gardner grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended Judge Memorial High School where he was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs. He accepted a scholarship to play basketball at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington where he played three seasons for the Loggers, serving as captain of the team his junior year. He graduated from UPS in 1999 with a bachelor of arts degree in Communication and later earned a master’s degree in Education Counseling from the University of Phoenix.
In 1999-2000, he was named as the first boy’s basketball coach at Juan Diego High School. He guided the Soaring Eagles to four consecutive region championships and in 2004-05, to the Utah Class 2A state championship.
Gardner and his wife Alli are the parents of a four-year old daughter, Makena and an one-year old daughter, Chloe.
