Amy Donovan enters her fourth season with the Wildcats. She joined coach Harris in her first season at Weber State. Her on-court practices duties include skill work development and film study with our perimeter players, assisting with offensive coordination, implementation of full court shooting drills, and end-outs. Off the court, she has various duties and is directly involved with high school and JUCO recruitment as well as being the liaison for the program’s community service and outreach projects.

Donovan, a native of Battle Ground, Washington, has 13 years of coaching experience at the collegiate and high school levels. She came to Weber State after spending the 2017- 2018 season as Head Coach of Shoreline Community College in Washington. While at Shoreline she led the turnaround of the women's basketball program entering the position with one signed player: ultimately departing the team with nearly a full roster of eleven college athletes.

In 2016-17, Donovan was promoted to assistant coach at Northern Arizona University, working closely with the team's post players. Under Donovan's guidance, the post players garnered the second-best offensive rebounding percentage in the Big Sky Conference.

Before joining the staff at Northern Arizona, Donovan began her coaching career as a prep coach in Washington. Coaching both high school and AAU programs while working in the non-profit sector; Donovan guided 15 players who moved on to play at the collegiate level. 

Amy received her Master’s degree in Education from the University of Washington. While with the Huskies she worked as a graduate assistant under coaches Kevin McGuff (Ohio State) and Mike Neighbors (Arkansas).

Donovan is a 2010 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania where she was a two-sport athlete in basketball and track & field. Her professional memberships include: WBCA, WeCOACH Leadership training: True North Coach Development Academy, Head Coach Training Center and WBCA Beyond the Box.
