Robert Yonce
Yonce, joined the Wildcats in May of 2019 after spending last season with Emory & Henry, a Division III college in southwest Virginia. While at E & H, he was responsible for opponent scouting and game prep. He also coordinated and implemented individual skill development plans for players. This past season the program back east enjoyed great success with an overall record of 22-3, ranking as high as of #16 in the nation.

"I have gotten to know Yonce over the past couple of years and what initially stood out to me was his engagement and authenticity," head coach Velaida Harris said. "He has the desire to continually improve and grow as a coach. I wanted to add another young, hungry and energetic coach that would connect with our players. His personal experiences as a student-athlete and also a practice player under a legendary head coach contribute to that connection. Yonce is familiar with the landscape of the Big Sky Conference and I'm glad he decided to head back to Utah and help us as we continue to build here at Weber State!"

Prior to his time at Emory & Henry, Coach Yonce was an assistant coach at Southern Utah University for four seasons. During his time at Southern Utah his responsibilities included opponent scouting, game prep and skill development of the perimeter players. In addition, he oversaw team academics and scheduling of facilities.

Yonce's coaching career began while attending University of Tennessee. There, he was a practice player under the legendary Coach Pat Summitt. That experience gave him the opportunity to see practices and chalk-talk with the coaching staff daily.

Originally from Wytheville, Virginia,  Yonce graduated with Honors from the University of Tennessee in 2012 attaining his BS in Logistics and minor in Psychology.
