The 2023-24 season was the fifth season for RuthAnn Allen as the head coach of the Weber State women's tennis program.Â
In 2023, she led the Wildcats to a Big Sky regular season title and was honored as the Big Sky Coach of the Year. Weber State was 6-2 in conference play during the year and advanced to the championship match of the Big Sky Tournament for the third straight season.
Allen was named the head coach at Weber State in July 2019 and came to Weber State with 21 years of coaching experience, after being at the University of Utah.
She was named ITA Central Region Coach of the Year in 2008.

In 2019, Allen was instrumental with helping Utah to a top-50 finish in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association final poll, coming in at No. 44. Utah also posted a No. 2 ranking in the ITA Mountain Region poll marking the fifth straight year that the Utes have been ranked in the top five in the Mountain Region, earning back-to-back No.1 rankings in 2014 and 2015.
Allen assisted the Utes in earning bids to the NCAA Tournament in 2012, 2011, 2010, and 1997. She also helped lead the Utes to two Mountain West Conference Championships in 2010, 2011.

Allen helped the Utes produce eight All-Pac-12 selections and 13 All-Mountain West Conference selections, including 2011 MWC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year Anastasia Putilina and 2008 MWC Freshman of the Year Evgenia Kryuchkova.

RuthAnn Stevens Allen competed for the University of Utah, ranked in the top 25 all four years. She earned All-American honors in 1992. Also as a competitor she earned qualified for the NCAA three times. She was inducted in the University of Utah Crimson Club Hall of Fame and received the Dave Freed Award through Utah Tennis Association.

She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and Health.
She is married to Jason Allen and has four children, Calvin, Anna, Roxy, and Coco.
