Jared Burnham took over the reigns of the Weber State men's tennis program in the summer of 2004 and has rebuilt the program into one of the top teams in the Big Sky Conference.

Over the last five seasons in Big Sky Conference play, the Wildcats have finished tied for second twice and tied for third once.

Burnham's rebuilding of the Wildcat tennis program began to see results in 2008. Weber State increased their win total for the second-straight year under his tenure as they went 13-11. He led the Wildcats to a tie for second place in the Big Sky with a 6-2 record. 2008 was the first winning season for the Wildcats since 1992, when the 'Cats finished 14-12.

 

Burnham led the Wildcats to another second-place finish in 2010, when the team again went 6-2 in league play. 

 

Jared came to Weber State after serving four years as an assistant head coach at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. He was the assistant women’s coach at Boise State from 2000-2003. He was named Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2002. In the 2003-2004 season Burnham became the assistant men’s coach at Boise State and was also named Mountain Region Assistant Coach of the Year. The Broncos ended the season with a 24-8 record. Prior to his duties in Boise, Burnham was a graduate assistant coach at Utah State during the 1999-2000 season.

Burnham is a Logan, Utah native and played four years of tennis at Utah State University. He received all-conference honors as a senior in 1999.
