 Jon O’Dell, a 6-foot-0 guard, was an outstanding two-year letterman for the Weber Junior College basketball and baseball teams (1960-62). A native of Sunset in Davis County, O’Dell was a member of the ICAC championship basketball teams in the 1961 and 1962 seasons, each posting 11-1 records under Coach Dick Motta.
 O’Dell was also an All-Big Sky Conference baseball honoree in 1964. He was named the top overall athlete at WSC in 1963.
  O’Dell went on to enjoy a successful career as a high school coach and administrator in Utah.Â
