USAFA, Colo. – The Weber State men's golf team shot opened the 2026-27 season over the weekend, finishing up on Monday with a 17th place finish at Eisenhower Golf Club.
The 'Cats started the tournament with an opening round of 308 on Saturday, but bounced back with rounds of 289 and 292 on Sunday for a total of 889.
Ryan Takeshita led the Wildcats over the tournament, shooting a 3-over par total of 219 to finish in 42nd place. Takeshita opened the tournament with a 5-over par 77, but posted back-to-back 1-under par 71's over the last two days. He posted 13 birdies over the tournament.
Bobby Kincaid used a 4-under par second round of 68 to power a 7-over par total of 223 to finish in 61st place. He recorded seven of his 10 birdies on Sunday and added an eagle that day as well.
Jesus Castaneda joined Kincaid in 61st place, closing his tournament with a 1-under par 71. He made five birdies and an eagle over his 54 holes.
Eliott Auffret tied for 76th place in his Wildcat debut, posting an 11-over par 227, while Dean Browne tied for 85th place at 15-over par 231.
Colorado won the team title with a total of 834, while Wyoming's Brody Leid shot a 9-under par 207 to take individual medalist honors.
