MADISON, Ill. – The Weber State men's golf team wrapped up the SIUE Dolenc Invitational on Tuesday at Gateway National Golf Club with a 10th place finish after posting a three-round total of 6-over par 858.
The Wildcats recorded rounds of 283, 288 and 287 over their three rounds.
Jesus Castaneda led the way for Weber State, shooting a 5-under par total of 208 to tie for eighth place on the individual leaderboard. He opened the tournament with a career-best 5-under par 66 in a bogey-free round. After a 1-over par 72 in Monday's second round, he closed the tournament on Tuesday with another score in red figures, this time posting a 1-under par 70. His 12 birdies across the tournament was a team-high.
Dean Browne joined Castaneda in the top-25, shooting even-par 213 on rounds of 71, 69 and 73 to tie for 24th overall. He carded six birdies and an eagle over his 54 holes.
Eliott Auffret tied for 48th place after shooting rounds of 74, 73 and 71 for a 5-over par 218, while Bobby Kincaid tied for 61st at 7-over par 220 on rounds of 73, 74 and 73.
Ryan Takeshita finished 96th with a final score of 237.
Bradley claimed the tournament's team title, shooting 837 to edge tournament-host SIU Edwardsville by two shots. Northern Iowa's Tanner Dinnebier shot rounds of 68-67-68 to take individual medalist honors at 10-under par 203.
