Wildcats Wrap Fall Season with 11th Place in Midland

MIDLAND, Texas — The Weber State men's golf team wrapped up its 2026 fall season Tuesday at the Tall City Collegiate, finishing 11th overall at Midland Country Club with a three-round team score of 872 (+8).

The Wildcats improved throughout the tournament, posting team scores of 295 in the opening round, 291 in the second round and 286 in the final round.

Markus Nanpei led Weber State individually, finishing tied for 29th at 1-over-par 217. Nanpei opened with a 72 before carding a 1-under-par 71 in the second round and a 74 in the final round.

Eliott Auffret finished tied for 31st at 2-over-par 218, recording rounds of 76, 72 and 70. Auffret closed the tournament with his best round of the week, shooting 2-under-par 70 on Tuesday.

Bobby Kincaid tied for 37th at 3-over-par 219. After opening with a 72 and shooting 78 in the second round, Kincaid bounced back with a strong final-round 69, the lowest round of the day among the Wildcats.

Jesus Castaneda finished tied for 47th at 6-over-par 222 after rounds of 76, 73 and 73, while Dean Browne placed 67th at 15-over-par 231 with rounds of 75, 75 and 81.

The Tall City Collegiate marked the conclusion of Weber State's 2026 fall campaign. The Wildcats will return to competition in the spring as they continue preparations for the postseason.
