Wildcats Fall to Eagles 6-1

CHENEY, Wash. -- The Weber State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Eastern Washington on Friday, dropping the 'Cats into the third seed in the upcoming Big Sky tournament.
The two teams entered the match in a virtual tie for second place in the Big Sky. The Wildcats finish the regular season with a 6-2 conference record, while the Eagles moved to 6-1 with one match remaining.
Fabio Mancarella earned the lone point for WSU with a 6-3, 7-5 win over Nico Riego de Dios in the No. 3 singles position.
The Wildcats will face Boise State in a non-conference match on Sunday, and then will travel to the conference tournament in Sacramento, Calif., which begins on April 25.
