Wildcats Ousted from Big Sky Tourney

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Weber State men's tennis team suffered a quarterfinal upset in the Big Sky Conference Championships on Friday with a 4-0 loss to the University of Montana.
The Wildcats got an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles as Henning Hipp and Nick Plum defeated Felipe Raw and Raydner Ramos 8-5, but Montana won 8-5 at No. 1 and 8-6 at No. 3 to grab the doubles point.
In singles, Montana won at No. 1, 2 and 6 to finish off the Wildcats. Hipp was beaten 6-1, 6-4 at No. 1 by Colin Dektar, while Sascha Kiehne lost in a third set tiebreak 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (5-3) to Mikolaj Borkowski at No. 2. Spencer Marchant also lost in three sets, falling 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 to Alexandre Gorj at No. 6.
