OGDEN, Utah -- The Weber State women's soccer team (4-6-0) battled head-to-head with the University of Oregon (8-2-1) on Saturday morning, taking the Ducks to double overtime before falling 1-0 at Wildcat Soccer Field.

The Wildcats put up 13 shots and put 10 on-goal, compared to 20 shots and seven on-goal for Oregon. Weber State generated several good chances over the second half and into the overtime periods, but Oregon turned each opportunity away.

Jessie Baddley got on the end of a Weber State corner kick in the 22nd minute, but her strong header was right at Oregon goalkeeper Cody Miles.

In the 59th minute, the Ducks' Jen Stoltenberg launched a shot from distance that just went over the outstretched arm of Rebecca Ritchie, but Oregon was denied a goal as the ball struck the crossbar and rebounded back into play.

In the 68th minute, the Wildcats were denied by the frame as well. Maggie Bartel's shot was deflected by Miles, and went off the crossbar for the save.

In the 72nd minute, Abby Robinson broke loose for the Wildcats. The junior forward's shot to the left post was snared by a diving Miles to keep the game scoreless.

Nicole Moore gave the Wildcats another clean look in the 100th minute, but her quick shot from the left side as she broke through was again stopped by Miles.

In the 108th minute, Oregon's Teresa Bowns got free in the left side of the box. Her shot was deflected upward by Ritchie but did not clear the crossbar. The Ducks' Kristie Kuhns took advantage, running in to head home the game-winner.

Ritchie posted six saves for the Wildcats, while Miles recorded 10 stops to earn the shutout for Oregon.

The loss runs Weber State's losing streak to six-straight, the second longest in school history. The mark of eight-consecutive losses was set back in 1999.

The Wildcats will open up Big Sky play on Thursday, Oct. 8 as they host Eastern Washington at 3:00 p.m.
