POCATELLO, Idaho -- The Weber State women's soccer team wrapped up the 2009 season on Saturday with a 4-0 loss to conference rival Idaho State at Davis Field.
The Bengals needed the result to earn a spot in the Big Sky Conference tournament, and they played like it, scoring twice in each half for the convincing win.
WSU played a portion of the game a player down, after defender Shannon Thompson was sent off for dissent in the second half.
ISU outshot Weber State 17-10 overall and converted goals in the 31st, 44th, 71st and 81st minutes.
The Wildcats end the season at 6-12 overall, while ISU improved to 9-7 and earned the final spot in the four-team conference postseason field.
Rebecca Ritchie posted four saves, playing her final match in goal for the Wildcats.
