Wildcats Fall in Big Sky Quarterfinals

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Weber State men's tennis team saw its 2009 season come to an end on Friday with a 4-1 loss to Montana State in the Big Sky Conference Championship Quarterfinals at the Gold River Racquet Club.
Montana State claimed the doubles point behind wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions to take the early lead. The Bobcats then followed up with wins at the No. 1, 3 and 4 singles spots to advance to the semis.
Weber State's lone point came in the No. 5 singles match, where Travis Covington defeated Alberto Fuentes 6-1, 6-1.
The Wildcats finish the season at 9-11 overall.
