Wildcats Swept by Sac State

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Weber State men's tennis team opened the 2010 Big Sky schedule on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to Sacramento State.
The Hornets pulled out all three doubles matches to earn the first point of the day. Dave Hintze and Cole Patterson dropped a very tight match at No. 3 spot, falling 9-8 (8-6) in a tiebreaker, but the Hornets had already clinched the point with an 8-5 win at No. 1 and a 8-4 win at No. 2.
In singles, Sac State took all six matches in straight-sets to clinch the match. The Wildcats battled at the top two spots, dropping a pair of opening set tiebreakers. Henning Hipp fell 7-6 (7-2), 6-3 to Anton Stryhas at No. 1, while Simon Unger lost 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 to Kiryl Harbatsiuk.
The Wildcats fell to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play, while Sac State picked up its first win of the year, moving to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in the Big Sky.
