Anderson scored 18 points, becoming just the 16th player in Weber State University women's basketball history to score 1,000 career points. Anderson finished Tuesday's game with 1,002 points in 92 career games.
The Purple and White was ultimately done in by poor shooting, as Weber State shot just 29.3 percent from the field in falling 66-53 to Southern Utah at Centrum Arena.
Anderson, who also finished with a season-high 11 rebounds and her 14th career double double, scored her 1,000th point at the free throw line, hitting the second of two shots with 6:09 left in the game.
Weber State hit the first shot of the game, but was outscored 21-4 over the next 8:05, falling behind 21-6.
The key stat of the game for the Wildcats, in addition to their cold shooting, was their inability to crash the boards as Southern Utah was able to convert 18 offensive rebounds into 19 second chance points.
Sophomore guard Megan Patterson finished with eight points and four assists, while junior guard Abby Palmer added seven points, three assists, a block and a steal, and freshman guard Justine Johnson added seven points, three assists and two steals for the Wildcats.
Weber State (4-6) will now have a nine-day break before hosting Nevada at 7 p.m. on Dec. 30.
