Bobcats Rally Past WSU in Singles

OGDEN, Utah -- The Weber State women's tennis team dropped its second-straight Big Sky match by a single point on Friday as Montana State rallied in singles for a 4-3 win at the Ogden Athletic Club.
The Wildcats took the singles point, as they won the No. 2 and 3 matches. Caroline Drugge and Brittiny Moore defeated Jennifer Coll and Ali Griffin 8-3 at No. 2, and Keya Jenkins and Kassia Adamson downed Andrea De La Torre and Lucy Fairbotham 8-1 at No. 3.
Weber State was unable to get the three points it needed in singles to secure the win, as Montana State won four of the six matches. The Bobcats won two three set matches after dropping the first set.
Moore defeated De La Torre 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4 and Adamson defeated Fairbotham 6-0, 7-6 at No. 6 for the two Wildcat singles points.
Montana State improved to 3-6 overall and 1-1 in the Big Sky. The Wildcats, meanwhile, fell to 2-8 and 0-2 in conference play.
