Wildcats Knock Down Aggies 73-63

Scott Bamforth scored a career-high 28 points and knocked down seven three-pointers in route to leading the 'Cats to the win in front of a crowd of 9,359. Damian Lillard added 17 points and Kyle Bullinger scored eight points and pulled down 13 rebounds for the Wildcats.
Utah State jumped out to an 8-4 lead and led 10-9 when the Wildcats went on a 14-5 run and the 'Cats never trailed again. Weber State led by 15 at halftime.
The Aggies cut the lead to six with 2:21 to play but Weber State closed the game on a 6-2 run to snap a four-game losing streak to Utah State.
Bamforth finished the night 7-12 from the field and was 7-9 from three-point land for his 28 points, along with pulling down six rebounds. Byron Fulton added 10 points of the bench for the 'Cats.
Utah State shot 45 percent from the field while the 'Cats shot just 37 percent. Utah State outshot the Wildcats in the second half 56 percent to 25 percent. Weber State shot 12-23 from three-point land. The 'Cats outrebounded 38-35.
The Aggies were led by Morgan Grim with 19 points. Brockeith Pane added 14 points and Brady Jardine had nine points and 14 rebounds.
The Wildcats will now hit the road for the first time this season when they play at UC Irvine Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Mountain time.
